How It Works
So what does it really take to get going with Orby when your starting from scratch? Well, there are three words to define the overall process of working with Orby: Capture, Customize, and Create.
Capture
Orby uses spherically projected images which can be captured using a variety of cameras and lenses available on the market today. We've listed some of them in the capturing section of the site. Once you have a lense that can capture 360 degree environments, and you have taken and downloaded your images, you're ready to start customizing Orby to display your space to your users.
Customize
Once you have captured a space, you are then ready to move on to customizing Orby. We've created an extremely easy way for you to edit the default settings for displaying your virtual tour to your users thru the use of external editable files. You can adjust default field of view, add or delete images that the viewer will import upon use, and setup your imaging naming convention all within the external xml file. The entire interface that Orby displays to your users can also be customized to include your own company or personal logo, as all of the interface is external to the actual Orby viewer itself. Once customized, you're ready to share your space that you've recorded.
Create
All of your images have been captured, and you have fully customized your viewer to suit your needs. Now you can upload your files to the server of your choice, and allow anyone in the world to see the space you captured.
