Orby Tutorials
Here you will find all of the information you need to install, customize, and configure Orby to run on your own servers. We're sure that you will find Orby very easy to work with. If you do happen to have any questions, just let us know. If you have already purchased a license or have downloaded a trial, you can also send questions to us in our support center.
Installing Orby
Orby has no server requirements. All you need to get setup is the Orby files along with your license number. Open your license file located in the orby folder (orby/license/license.txt) and paste your license that was sent to you either when you downloaded the trial or when you purchased.

That's it!

You can then upload your files to your domain, and open the viewer in your browser.

NOTE: The folder structure has to stay the same in order for Orby to work. NOTE: Orby cannot run from your hard drive. The files have to be uploaded to your server to work correctly.
Configure Orby
Orby can be configured by opening the orby.xml file (orby/xml/orby.xml). In this file you will see the following options:

<numberofimages>5</numberofimages>
<imagename>vr</imagename>
<imagefiletype>.jpg</imagefiletype>
<zoomdefault>70</zoomdefault>
<fieldofview>110</fieldofview>
<tiltspeed>300</tiltspeed>
<tiltmax>15</tiltmax>

These options are read by Orby when the viewer first loads and give you options on how you want your installation of Orby to function, as well as provide Orby with important information about your image naming convention as well as the total number of images you want Orby to display.
Customizing Orby
Orby allows you to edit the interface that your users see once the viewer is loaded. You have a Photoshop file that was included in your download titled orby_interface.psd (orby/interface/orby_interface.psd). Using this file and a copy of Photoshop, you can edit any of the graphics located in the interface folder for any of your installations or Orby.

NOTE: All of the images should stay basically the same size, otherwise you may encounter problems with buttons overlapping. You can test this by replacing the default graphics with your customized graphics, uploading them to your server and running the Orby install.
Fine Tuning Images
All of your images are located in the pano folder (orby/panos/). This is the folder that Orby uses to pull your spherically projected images into the viewer. The images that Orby uses are all 1024px by 540px. They have a top and bottom frame with heights of about 115px. This size is our standard image size, but yours can vary depending on how you capture your images, and at what size you would like to display them.

You can find examples of images that we have used in some of our Orby captures here: http://www.orbyspv.com/images.html
